Summary
What happens when Aiya, Zuko's psychiatrist and his closest friend, gets involved with his best mate Sokka?
Aiya is a waterbender, however her parents are both from the Fire Nation. Her bending could be fully revealed only after the war. She never really had the chance to properly develop her skills. What she did have, though, was access to prestigious education, thanks to her parents’ positions as professors at the Royal Fire Nation University. She went on to become a psychiatrist and extraordinarily quickly found great success in the field at a very young age. Because of her background, she moves comfortably within high society circles. One day, somewhat by accident, she gets assigned to Zuko as a patient. At first she has no idea he is the Fire Lord, which allows her to treat him with sincerity and honesty, they seem to have a good flow together. Afterwards Aiya actually learns that he is in fact the Fire Lord, but it doesn’t stop the two of them from forming a genuine close friendship. She has secret feelings for him, but she never did anything about them, sure that he wouldn’t reciprocate. Then Zuko’s old friends come to visit. It’s quite chaotic but also very exciting. Sokka seems to take an interest in her.

Meanwhile, Madeline Stark is fighting her own battle, because she can't stop thinking about Aerion's cousin Valarr Targaryen, who unfortunately happens to be dating her friend Kiera Tirosh.
