In his reflection, a figure, approaching from behind. He narrowed his eyes, trying to get a glimpse of what could possibly be so significant that it was shown in the crystal. His breath hitched as a hand landed on his reflection’s shoulder. A hand belonging to Cole.

Summary
Had it not been for that cursed machine, Kai wouldn’t be in this mess. He could deal with giant murderous snakes, dark lords and undead skeletons, no problem. But romance? He could not deal with romance.
