Then how did he manage to end up in such an improbable situation?
Another sharp pain throughout his body, another gasp, and his knees gave out. Everything moved too slowly and too fast at the same time while the darkness engulfed him whole again.
It was cold. It was dark. It was unnerving.
The boy went unconscious as the universe shifted around him.
