Summary
Calling Charlotte a fool was not entirely fair; of course, there was some truth to the statement, but she was more than just a fool - she was a sum of many different parts, broken and stitched back into something that resembled a whole. She was ambitious, resolute, and a wonderfully complex and volatile mix of broken and put-back-together dreams of greatness. But she was also stupid, because what else could she be called, after missing every single hint Caroline had thrown her way? But surely, a month spent on a ship to Australia would leave her no choice but to notice the depth of Caroline's longing for her, or so did Caroline hope.
