Summary
He steals a glance at his alarm clock on the nightstand and turns to look at his bedroom door. It’s routine by now. Every night, Kenma shows up in his bedroom, clutching the duvet wrapped around his shoulder, calling out Kuroo’s name in a whisper. Every night at 3 AM they curl their bodies against each other and Kuroo plays with his hair until he falls asleep in his arms, clutching at his shirts and mumbling nonsense in his sleep. Kuroo always wonders if Kenma ever dreams about him.
“Kuro?” He hears and sits up almost immediately. He sees Kenma’s silhouette against the light that’s coming from the corridor and despite seeing this every night, Kuroo can’t help but think it’s a beautiful sight – a sight he would never get tired of seeing.
“Come here,” he says back, opening his arms.
or: they’ve been friends for so long kuroo already knows kenma’s sleeping pattern and isn’t the least concerned when he shows up for cuddles in the middle of the night.

Summary
“Hey, Kenma?” Kuroo said suddenly, tilting his head back a little to look up. He was close enough that his hair tickled Kenma’s arm.
Kenma glanced over, then back at his game. “Hm?”
Kuroo took a deep breath and let it out slowly. “I’m in love with you.”
Kenma blinked, losing track of his game for a split second. He paused it and looked down at the top of Kuroo’s head. The moment stretched on. “Oh,” he said, because there was nothing else he could think to say.

Summary
Kenma reluctantly spoons vanilla into his mouth, watching the sun set. And when everything is dusted in stripes of pale orange and purple and gold, he glances at Kuroo’s profile muddled in the shadows of the descending sun, and wonders whether he had somehow accidentally made friends with an impressive sort of boy. The ice-cream melted under his thumb feels maddeningly sticky, like he’ll never wash it away thoroughly enough and it would leave its mark wherever he touched before he could.
Kenma has never really thought of anyone as good-looking before, never really cared enough about these things to notice them. But Kuroo is objectively so, in this light, in this angle—maybe all the time.
(A Kuroo and Kenma life story, told in five acts).

Summary
Each night, he would dream of beautiful green eyes and the brightest smile he had ever seen. Each night, he would find himself tucked under his blankets, urging himself to fall asleep quicker so that he could see it again, so he could try and find out who it was that he was seeing. Each night, he would stare at his soulname in the dark, tracing the words with his finger, trying to think about that day at the park when he was little, the day his soulname appeared. There were so many kids – it was impossible to remember their faces. And they didn’t even ask for each other’s names. Tooru wondered if his Hajime spent their nights like this, staring up at the ceiling and thinking back to that day.
or oikawa tooru is part of the unfortunate group of people that misses the chance to meet their soulmates.
