    2. said past exploit confirms his identity within earshot of cheng xiaoshi, whose reactions are so unsubtle that lu guang questions his suitability for a client-facing role.
    3. liu xiao witnesses lu guang trip when cheng xiaoshi asks lunch?, catching himself and almost eating shit again when cheng xiaoshi hurries over and asks if he’s all right.

    “so,” cheng xiaoshi starts in what lu guang assumes is nonchalance. “liu xiao, huh?”

    by tuesday lunch, he amends, four horrible things have happened to lu guang.
