Set 5 days after their kiss...
Taggie has been moping around the Priory, wondering where Rupert has disappeared to and if he regretted kissing her. She tries her hardest to keep her mind occupied by busying herself with chores, but she can't stop thinking about him.
~ It was during that dance to The Lady in Red that she felt seen. Understood. She felt like she had known Rupert for much longer than what she had. Almost like she had always known him and had waited for him. Somewhere deep in her soul, she knew that she had always loved him and always will. It felt like all of time had stopped moving and nothing else had ever been and all she ever knew was right there in his eyes.
________________________________~ It’s been 2 weeks since Rupert last saw her, and the ache in his chest has only intensified with each passing day. Every morning, he wakes with the ghost of her laughter echoing in his mind, the warmth of her smile still vivid in his memory. He can picture her angelic face as she gazes at him. He feels as if he left a piece of himself with her, his heart, nestled securely in the palm of her hand. He did. He knows he did.
