Adam thins his lips before letting out a sigh through his nose.
“I don’t know,” he replies quietly. “Eventually, I guess? I mean… You don’t meet a lot of people like me, and I don’t like to tell a lot of people either. They get it in their heads that I can, like, help them get their own little pet dragons or something. Or they could tell hunters, or they could fucking… I don’t know, probably think I can teach them how to do it. It’s annoying.”
(or, magical healer lawrence gets an odd request from adam over the phone that leads to him learning a bit of a secret. it's not a bad one, but it is a little surprising.)

“Since Alison’s letting us have Diana for fall break, what do you say we take a little road trip? Nothing wild, just a couple nights away. We can find a hotel that has an indoor pool so Diana can swim, get a room with a couple king beds so she can have a huge bed to herself, let her pick a couple places to stop along the way…”
Lawrence shook the excess water from his hands before grabbing a towel to fully dry them. He turned to face Adam, grabbing his hips and walking him backwards to press him against the kitchen island, and leaned down to press a soft, slow kiss to his lips. “And where are we going?”
Adam’s forearms rested on his shoulders, the fingers of his right hand idly playing with the blonde locks of the taller man’s hair. “So there’s this festival going on. Uh, back in my hometown actually.”
