Summary
Ena had helped her pick up the pieces of her life when it was shattered, and even so, Mizuki kept wondering if suddenly the love that Ena was offering would be taken away from her.
“I-I'm not worth your time! Or your love either! I'm— I'm way too much trouble for you, and I don’t want to cause you more stress than you already have every day,” she continued, tears slowly running down her cheeks as each word slipped out before she could stop them. “A-And— you deserve to be with someone normal, n-not with someone weird like me and—”
“Oh my god, shut up!” Ena snapped, interrupting Mizuki's monologue, voice shaky.
“H-Huh?” Mizuki blinked, looking up at the artist immediately, confused and taken aback, not by the seemingly harsh words, but by how shaky and unsteady Ena's voice sounded.
Was… Ena crying?

“You made a promise, idiot,” Ena muttered all to herself, locked away in her room, darkness surrounding her. She could only hold closer to her chest the picture frame that held a photo of Mizuki. Smiling. Hiding away all her pain she never fully allowed Ena to see. Only unspoken words haunted her all day and all night. Between the two, Mizuki had always been the most unfiltered one. She used to say “I love you” too easily.
“I love you too.”
Now, only the silence of her room would only ever get to hear it.

“You look like dad!”
Ena almost couldn’t believe what she had actually heard. There was no way Haru had just looked at a stranger, and decided at that moment that this woman looked like his dad. Almost unconsciously, Ena eyed Mizuki as if to make sure that Haru's judgement was even remotely close to correct, trying to find any resemblance.
She found none.
Well, at least Ena now knew that Haru had inherited her artistic eyes.
