"It's not your fault," he manages, squeezing Jungwon's shoulder in an attempt at comforting him. "Not at all. Please don't apologise to me for something that's out of your control. I mean, come on, it's a fucking curse because apparently those exist now. There's nothing you could do."
"I guess." He's still not making eye contact with Jay. "I'm just sorry that you've been dragged into this mess." He snorts humourlessly. "And now you're gonna have to be attached to me for literal months."
"It won't be so bad," Jay says, shocked to find that he means it. "Considering," he puts on a brave face, "considering it's us, right?"
Jungwon looks up at that, face set in wariness. "Yeah," he says slowly, eyes scanning Jay's face. "Yeah, considering it's us."
Or: Jay quickly learns that there are worse things than being curse-bonded to your bandmate.

Jay shook his head, biting back a grin as he turned to grab Jungwon’s takeout box. “Here’s your reward, Superhero.”
“Actually, I’ve been thinking,” Jungwon said, leaning forward again, now with a glint of mischief in his eye. “Maybe you’re my reward.”
Jay blinked, then tilted his head. “Your what?”
“My post-saving-the-day reward,” he said, keeping his eyes locked on Jay. “You know, like how some people go to the gym and then get a protein shake? I get a Jay.”
Jay looked at him like he was malfunctioning. “You get a what?”
Jungwon grinned. “You. Here. Behind the counter. Looking like that. It’s the highlight of my week.”
or Jungwon is Spider-Man and he thinks Jay is his MJ.
