She’d been out at a fusion bistro on the Lower East Side, blessedly alone, editing copy between bites of katsu and sips of brut. Then she had found herself at Laura Peterson and Bradley Jackson’s table, a third chair pulled up for her by a scurrying server before she could make the requisite excuses for such a circumstantial invitation.
