Summary
In the depths of Buck's inner darkness, he battles the suffocating weight of depression, believing he's a burden to Eddie, the one person who loves him unconditionally. As old ghosts from his past reach out, Eddie encourages him to reconnect with them, urging Buck to do something for himself. But Buck, drowning in the heaviness of his thoughts, feels himself slipping further away. Overwhelmed and broken, he takes a desperate step, attempting to end the pain with a bottle of pills.
In a haze of delirium, he calls Eddie, his voice slurred with sorrow, whispering a final goodbye. Eddie, frantic and shaking, rushes home, only to find Buck lying still, cold, and unresponsive on the couch. Fear consumes him as time slips away, but Bobby and the 118 arrive in the nick of time, pulling Buck back from the edge. Yet, the battle is far from over.
With a heart torn in anguish, Eddie watches as Buck's breath stutters back to life, and the moment Buck opens his eyes, it is Eddie who holds him together—desperate, trembling, and overflowing with love. They both face the fragile thread that connects them, knowing how close they came to losing everything.
