The same happens inside Ivan's lungs, creating a garden of his own making. He could try to push it away, to curse the roots that take hold, but he does no such thing. Instead, he gathers them close, simply hugging all that matters near his chest, accepting things as they are.

+ love that it's open-ended! + LOOOVE that he got the surgery!! i think it's the first time i read a hanahaki fic where one of them gets the surgery omg
the passage with ivan forgetting his memories with till made me BAWLLLLLLLLL my eyes out :(( him recounting all his favorite memories and then having to let them go? oh god i feel like I have had my heart ripped out of my ribcage and fed to the crows
10/10 with fireworks, shooting stars and a trumpet band in the background. loved it so much. -

i liked this so much!! i think it was the best characterization of ivan i've read so far!! loved his whole dilemma with being alive, not understanding what others want from him + i think it was great to show how he was different from the people who had not been raised as pets, by having him not know certain words / expressions!
overall, i enjoyed this fic sooooo much <3 loved the way ivan and till got together and the way they cared sm for each other <3
10/10 with a flute orchestra, professional dancers and a fireworks showing at the end! -
