    Midoriya Izuku knew that the world wasn't perfect. Even before the doctors told him that he was (probably) quirkless, he was aware of exactly how awful life can be.

    After all, that's why he wants to be a hero.

    So even after he's left all alone in the world—after his mom couldn't find it in herself to stay in it—Izuku learns to survive and adapt.

    Because what else does he have left, if not hope?
