Summary
Buck has a new responsibility: The Station 118 Publicity. It's going well, too, he's gaining followers rapidly and knows exactly how to appease his audience.
Except one thing. After Buck had spent way too much effort deleting every comment "shipping" him and Eddie, he fucks up when showing Eddie another comment. And Eddie reads one that slipped through the cracks. But instead of being repulsed or uncomfortable like Buck had assumed, Eddie wants to use this development. Exploit people's interest in two men kissing by "pretending" to be pining. Buck agrees, because how could he ever disagree with Eddie? Only he isn't pretending anything, he's just in his own personal hell as the man he loves pretends he feels the same and Buck can't do anything but let it happen. On camera. In front of thousands of people.

Summary
Buck tells Eddie what Tommy said about him being competition. Eddie feels... proud? In a totally normal, platonic way obviously.
That's also why he goes up to Tommy when he's talking to Buck, places his arm around Buck's waist, and shows Tommy there isn't a competition if the winner is already chosen.
