Summary
Braig's day has started off on the wrong foot-their overnight experiment failed and they can't figure out why, their paper got rejected from yet another journal, and Ienzo ate all of the sea salt ice cream in the office fridge. But their day gets a whole lot worse when a new threat shows up for the first time, and the rest of the guard is too far away to help.
Takes place about a year before To Lure a Himbo.

The more he gets immersed, the more he begins to wonder: Will he learn what it means to become a true hero? How long can he keep this up before Master Eraqus (or Hearts forbid, Aqua) finds out? And more importantly, why don’t Heartless Gummi ships use their goddamn turn signals?

“Howdy,” says Newt, watching her eyes narrow slightly as she takes in his dinosaur-printed button up, the “Free Pussy Riot” pin affixed to his blazer lapel, and the single red rose earring dangling from his right lobe. His hair is pulled back into a half-up bun, combining the hippie energy of the “man bun” with his naturally unruly waves. He looks like exactly the kind of person he remembers seeing holding a picket sign outside the doors of Shao HQ. Bingo.
“Dr. Geiszler,” says Shao in a neutral voice. “Thank you for inviting me.”
“Oh that was Hermann,” Newt says cheerfully. “I had no idea you were coming until,” he pretends to check his battered, lime green digital watch, “I’d say forty eight hours ago! Dunno why he would possibly want to hide the fact that you were coming to dinner, but oh well! Come on in, let’s get the party started.”
You can’t get to 1,000 employees without making a few enemies, and you can’t build a Liwenpire without squishing a few Newts.

Seridux didn't mind the monotonous routine of being in Organization XIII, so long as the Organization kept discovering new worlds. Everyone had their own agendas, and they were no different.
As long as no one asks too many questions, everything should work out, even with that pesky sharpshooter always trying to talk to them.

In 2013, an inter-dimensional rift opened at the bottom of the ocean. Monsters crawled out and humanity discovered the best way to stop them was to make monsters of their own. Jaeger versus Kaiju, it was a time for heroes.
Axel wanted to be a hero, but war has never been the same as the stories. After an incident left him unwilling to be a pilot, he left the program behind. But the war has not ended and Axel is drawn back, back to the war and back to Isa.
