Sure, Grace doesn’t have big plans on a Friday night, but certainly this guy seems like he should.

“Great,” Simon beams at him. “I’m on bus line duty,” he checks his watch, “shit, five minutes ago. But I’m done at four thirty. See you back here?” -

Summary
Rocky moves back in to the Hail Mary. Grace is still reckoning with the very real possibility he could still die, even with the taumoeba. While they wait for Rocky's things to decontaminate, Grace makes the incredibly stupid decision to try and spare Rocky from any more survivor's guilt than what he's already dealing with.
Or: Grace is telling Rocky why a schoolteacher's in space before he ends up stuck with a coward on a four year journey, or not at all.
