He dreams often enough- nightmares of fire and ash and blood spilling everywhere so much that he wishes to drown them all. Drown them in the misery of ale and wine just to hang on to what little sanity he had left. Until that one fateful night when her hands threaded through his hair, when her lips kissed his mindfogged mind, when his head rested on her warmth, when her voice chased all the nightmares away.
"Sleep well, my flame. " she whispered in between hums, and he rested, and he slept, and the fire and blood and ashes were blessedly drowned.

Summary
There is a kind of ache in her heart as she stared at his retreating form. He looked every bit like the king their mother and grandsire wanted him to be, but she knew that deep inside, he wants to discard every clothe and be free. How utterly pitiful it is for him to carry his grief while trying to live up to the king he was expected to be, how utterly alone it might feels. And she shares the better portion of that grief, too. No one else in their world could understand the gaping hole in her heart- except for the only one who has it, too.

From the moment of her birth, Laenyra Velaryon was raised to honor her duties as an heir to her father's throne- to one day rule as the Lady of Driftmark. However, a tragedy at sea made her fear the waters and refused to sail nor set a foot near the beach. Because of this, her grandfather had to name her younger brother as his heir and since then, Laenyra felt compelled to do everything in her power to do the remaining duties that she has for her family.
When the war over the Iron Throne began, she wanted more than ever to help her mother gain more support to win her war by presenting herself as a messenger to treat with a few lords and convince them to bend the knee - including the formidable Lord Cregan Stark.
It has been said that where House Stark goes, the North will follow. Despite the cold winter snows that should have deterred her from flying north further, she didn't back down and urged her dragon to brave the coldest of winds. The North has to bend the knee to her mother and she will do whatever it takes to succeed.
Whatever it takes.
