Summary
Still, it's his own fault for giving in to Rin's request. After they'd reconciled, he'd become entirely too compliant to Rin's every whim and desire. As though they were young children again, innocent of the real world, where Rin looked up to him, looked at him as if he could do no wrong, and Sae would give him everything he wanted.
But Rin's desires now were far from innocent, and the expressions he made for Sae were very different, though still entirely too tempting for Sae to give in to.

Summary
Sae usually alienated himself from anything that required him to be emotionally present, but if you think about it, petting your brother who just somehow turned into a cat seems to be just shocking enough that he doesn’t actually need to even try process it, and therefore he is only semi-present.
