Summary
Kaeya's past resurfaced. The people of Khaenri'ah suddenly make an appearance. A mixture of Abyss Mages, Field Tillers, and suprisingly, humans. Kaeya doesn't know which side to take. Khaenri'ah his hometown and the home of his kind, with his family who ruthlessly abandoned him for hopes of a better future, or Mondstadt, his new home.
He took the side of his family, Khaenri'ah He fought with them to defeat the city of freedom along with their Archon, Barbatos.
The people of Mondstadt knew this would happen, for Kaeya has already informed them that this would happen. He already told everyone, the Adventurer's Guild, the Knights of Favonius, and even townsfolk what to do. Think of it as a play, and Kaeya was the script writer.
The Knights were to fight the Abyss and the people of Khaenri'ah. Some might even have to fight Kaeya himself. He told them not to hold back.
He told the Traveler to aid the knights in battle, no matter what. He told Razor to help out and make sure Klee is safe. He told Albedo to aid everyone in battle and in recovery. He gave Jean the role as commander, of course. He told her when and where to deploy the knights.
And he trusted a big role to his little bro, Diluc.

The Voice Demon is getting chased and attacked by demon slayers, and accidentally kind of breaks into also-demon slayer Shoto's apartment for refuge. Shoto, refusing Vox's prettiness, helps him with his wounds.
