Summary
Having won a prestigious Harvard scholarship, Chaewon expected her stay in Boston to be a unique learning experience. But she didn't expect that meeting a certain girl would make her question all of her beliefs.
---
Just as the door opened, a cloud of smoke greeted her nose, making her cough.
“Shit, I forgot to open the window,” the girl said in English, running back inside.
Chaewon stopped coughing and the girl was back, fully opening the door. She eyed Chaewon from head to toe and irked an eyebrow. “Yes?”
She towered over Chaewon, looking down at her. The tips of her dark hair were painted in blue, and the red lipstick matched with her black leather pants and tank top.
“I-I’m sorry for bothering but, are you Son Hyejoo?” She asked in Korean.
“Yes, the one and only,” she answered in the same language.
“Oh, thank God." Chaewon heavy sighed. “I don’t know how this happened, but I have your suitcase. I suspect, and hope, you have mine.”- Language:

Summary
Out of the corner of her eye, she sees something. A pale face, lacy skirts, eyes so wide and so kind. A flash of blonde hair.
Just for a second, a mirage among the rest of the students clambering towards the windows like one singular mass. Just for a second, and then she's gone.
A second isn't enough.
She wants more.
But Hyejoo's hand is already at her wrist, her fingers already pulling at the loose thread. The ribbon is already shifting, the fabric of time melting between her fingers like soft wax.

Summary
Hyejoo looks at the little paper crane, spies the telltale pencil markings on its wings from where she had written her algebra work down before folding it. Gingerly, she picks it up, smiles to herself as she pinches its neck and tail, pushing and pulling, watching the paper crane’s wings go up and down.
A light bulb flickers on in her head.
Or, Hyejoo just wants to brighten Chaewon's week, so she folds her origami every day and hopes it's enough to bring a smile.
