    Madeleine and Espresso have parted ways, Espresso continuing his research in the Vanilla Kingdom and Madeleine setting off on a journey of self-exploration. The two of them have their own missions in mind, and neither needs the other any longer... right?

    Espresso is focused on the study of Magic Candies. He needs to get his research done as quickly as possible, though he's having nagging thoughts about a certain Cookie he left behind.

    Madeleine wants to know what it means to be a paladin. He thought he knew, but after recent events he's learned that there's much more to the world than what the Creme Republic has taught him. And he just can't shake the feeling that he shouldn't have traveled alone. But that's just homesickness, right?
