“You’re late, vampire. I already took care of the vermin lurking here.”

Alucard hummed, eyeing the blood splattered on the floors and wall. “I can see that you did - how considerate of you, priest.”

Anderson gave a snort. “Considerate? You speak as if I did this for you. Destroying the evil that plagues God’s Earth is my sworn duty, vampire. And speaking of—“ Bayonets dropped into his hands and he crossed them, sparks flying as steel screeched upon steel, the sound grating and unpleasant. Anderson grinned from behind his bayonets, his eyes wide and feral. “There’s still you to contend with.”

    USE OF THE WORD CRIPPLE.

    Viktor,

It is with a heavy heart I send this to you. I am dying, child. Faster than I can remedy. You are the only person I trust with my work. Zaun needs my work. You above all know that.
    ----------------------------------
“My work must pause.” Singed had stood across him, looking down at the glass of scotch in his hand.

Silco had raised a brow, “Pray tell.” He said slowly. “You’ve never needed a break. Do you need a sabbatical?” He mused, tapping his cigar ash into a gilded tray.

    “I’m dying.” Silco’s hand froze.

“I’m sorry to hear that.” He said finally, pouring a second glass for Singed. The Doctor sat and accepted the drink. “So your work is stopping?” Silco asked, sitting forward.

“I had an apprentice, I’m sending a letter to him asking him to return.”

"He must be something for you to entrust everything to him.”

    “He really is. You’ll see.”
