"I knew there were people who worshipped ghosts, but this is my first time seeing it in person," Mu Qing said and the distaste in his voice made it clear it was an experience he could've gone without.
"Why would anyone want to worship ghosts over gods?" Feng Xin grumbled, crossing his arms with a frown.
"Did you two forget? Not only is San Lang a supreme ghost king, he's also a god," Xie Lian said, bending down to read the small memorial in front of the statue. His lips curved up softly, charmed by its message and the small bundle of flowers surrounding it.
"Besides, god or ghost, none can compare to my Crimson Rain Sought Flower," Xie Lian added quietly, gently touching the flower petals.

Summary
“The building’s going to collapse any minute now. Let’s take Crimson Rain from here and think of another solution later,” Feng Xin urges. He flicks a glance at Mu Qing, tears a piece of cloth from his sleeve, and passes it to him.
“Did you forget?” Mu Qing scowls but takes the improvised bandage from Feng Xin. He doesn’t look up again, focused as he is on wrapping Xie Lian’s hand. “The curse will instantly burn him to a crisp if Xie Lian takes his body out of here before it's broken.”
Mu Qing is only stating the truth. He’s only reminding Feng Xin of the consequences. Still, such understanding does nothing to prevent the stab to Xie Lian’s heart, an ache so painful it elicits the gasp the cuts to his hand failed to do.

Summary
Xie Lian blushed furiously even as he smiled and responded enthusiastically to their question. He was so flustered though he didn’t realize his words were in merspeak.
Hua Cheng, watching him with clear fondness, seemed to let him know for Xie Lian gasped, glanced at the crowd, and if possible, blushed harder even as he smothered his face against Hua Cheng’s shoulder.
With a small snort of laughter, Hua Cheng very gently cupped the other’s cheek, instinctively drawing Xie Lian's eyes to him. Neither looked away as he leaned in to press a very soft kiss against his lips.
Giggles and loud murmurs rang out when they pulled away, until someone shushed to “let them talk.”
“Well gege?”
“Yes, San Lang is my mate or husband as you would call him,” Xie Lian finally answered, still looking at his San Lang. And everyone instantly knew that name belonged to Xie Lian alone to use.

“Tea?” Hua Cheng asks.
“Please,” Xie Lian replies, taking a seat first. His eyes follow Hua Cheng’s every move. The flutter of red robes as he takes a seat. The effortless grace as he pours Xie Lian’s tea. The bold and wild look of his hair framing his face and falling down his back. A few strands slip over his shoulder and without thinking, Xie Lian reaches out and tucks them back.
Hua Cheng makes a small sound, and Xie Lian quickly pulls back.
“I’m sorry. I wasn't think—”
“Gege can touch. Anytime he wants,” Hua Cheng interrupts, his dark eye looking straight at Xie Lian.

Summary
Chuuya has no memories from when he was a child.
So when Kouyou entrusts a de-aged Chuuya (who only has his childhood memories that reflect his body's age) to the Armed Detective Agency, and most importantly Dazai's, care, Dazai considers a prime opportunity to find out what Chuuya's life was like. If only to tease him about it later!
Yet he wasn't quite prepared for the revelations about Chuuya's past that he would find... nor what it means for his understanding of Chuuya.
(Plus, he has to resist pinching those Chibi cheeks lest he accidentally creates a singularity. It's not fair!)

“Chuuya?” Dazai asked in such a low voice it came out as nothing but a mere whisper, and Chuuya let out a whimper at hearing his name roll off of Dazai's tongue like that. The tiny sound tasted like distress in the thick air separating them.
