The rest of the conversation faded into a distant murmur as Wei Wuxian found himself spiraling down a hole of dark thoughts. Could it be true? Was Jiang Cheng actually pregnant? How was that even possible, the matter of the sect motto being set aside. He knew his shidi well enough to know that Jiang Cheng wouldn’t actively go out and try to defy logic by getting himself pregnant on purpose. No, that sounded like more of something he himself would do. Not Jiang Cheng.
Which only left one other option. Someone or something must have forced themself upon his shidi for that to happen. And the thought of that… It was as if something had triggered inside of him, the darkness he had long ago fought to suppress, and had thought laid dormant since his resurrection, flared to life within him. The world around him turned red as he imagined himself killing whoever had dared to touch his precious shidi.
