Satomi began typing out a reply and paused. If he went and said ‘he’s weird’ then it’d come off like it was something interesting, which it wasn’t. Plus once he told Wada, Nakagawa would find out and press him. As it stood though, Satomi couldn't draw any definitive conclusion about Kyouji Narita.
He was going to spend these next six weeks pretending that he didn’t exist, after all.
One Kyouji Narita begins work at the Oka's music store as their summer hire. Satomi has better things to do, until he doesn't.

It doesn’t last long at any rate. In a flash, it is replaced with the usual shameless grin.

“I can’t do this. I can’t do this anymore.” Once again, fear washes over him. The pain he felt during the car crash and everything after, Satomi could manage, but this? Loving someone – loving Kyouji – was just too painful. The endless long nights he stayed wide awake, the countless daydreams he had with every free moment of his time, the bitter longing and anguishing yearning he had felt for years, Satomi might just die if he had to go through all of this again.
I want to be happy. I want to be happy, but you make me so sad, Kyouji-san.
The man that once made him so happy, has become the greatest source of sorrow in his life.
Satomi knows that Kyouji doesn’t like him like that. What they have is something similar to friendship, and although he wants something more, he knows that it’s not going to happen. The months of no texting, few hours of getting food, and only a few words of comfort, it’s clear that Kyouji has drawn that line, and Satomi knows not to cross it anymore.
What he doesn’t know is that Kyouji wants him more than anything.
