Summary
The tavern Xie Lian was performing at had amassed a small crowd. She just began to perform a requested song when her eyes fell upon a new patron who strode inside with a group of ruffians. The leader wore a black pirate hat, with crimson trim that matched her long coat. She moved with an air of confidence and swagger, befitting of a captain. Small chains chimed with each confident step, and the light caught on the many pieces of silver jewelry the pirate had adorned. Many of the staff and citizens regarded her with a mixture of fear and respect.
A note was missed, barely noticeable, but the bard knew she was hopelessly distracted. She had watched the pirate’s every move, and then she was caught staring! "What an idiot!" She thought to herself.Or:
Xie Lian, a traveling spellcaster bard meets the nefarious Pirate of the Crimson Rain, Hua Cheng. She joins the pirate on her adventures and they slowly unravel each other's history, undisclosed desires, and ultimately their intertwined fates while sailing the seven seas.
