Post-Charlie Work.
He doesn't yelp then, not from pain or surprise, he yelps /after/. In to Dennis' mouth as the other man's lips crash unforgivingly hard against his in instant regret.
"Dennis scratched me."

Summary
Up until this morning, it would’ve been the truth: Mac was a beta, through and through, and endlessly annoying about it. Claiming how he was basically an alpha, how he was actually meant to be an alpha, but God made him a beta since he was simply too badass. It was a constant, eye-roll inducing nuisance, but it was the status quo, and there’d been no reason to think anything would change. Dennis was an alpha, Mac was a beta with a chip on his shoulder, constantly following in his wake, and it’d all made sense.
