Shuffling around the multiples vinyls they had, Kabru was still amazed by how dad like his partner’s tastes were. He smiled fondly at one of them, a gift he gave him for his 22t birthday. But that wasn’t the album he was looking for.
Once finding it, he took with care the well known record in his hand, bright orange and inviting, with little scratches on its edges from age and all of the time it was listened to. He put the jet black vinyl on the old fashioned record player they found in a garage sale years ago, and precisely knew where to put the needle to have his favorite song playing first. Kabru smiled just by hearing the first notes, and hummed along to the lyrics, letting them melt on his tongue with a brand new narrative to them that only him could get.

He wasn’t in his room anymore. After the shock of reawakening, that was the first thing he noticed. Rather, he was in a large banquet hall. The table was long, easily long enough for twenty guests, if not more. Kabru sat at the head, and while all the other chairs remained empty, the table was laden with dishes. His eyes widened as they dashed from dish to unrecognizable dish, and panic quickly set in. “Kabru, I just know you’ll grow to love monsters as much as I do. I made you this delicious feast so you can finally understand.”
