The return of the exiled prince causes quite the upheaval at the Asgardian court. Perhaps some of it might have been avoided had the prince in question adopted an attitude of modesty, or better yet, displayed an air of repentance for his past mistakes – but alas there is none to be detected in his proud countenance. Loki walks the crowded halls of the golden castle with his head held high, triumphant in his victory. For it is a victory. The Allfather cast him out, and now he has returned to his father’s house by securing the devotion of his heir, the favored son, the one born and bred to carry on the dynasty who, despite everything they tried to instill in him about duty and honor, only has eyes for his brother. While Loki has tasted power before, nothing comes close to this.

His brother's voice in a whisper, let it rip, just before he hears soft steps crossing his kitchen, getting closer (it’s your brother’s kitchen, you ungrateful bitch, it’ll never be yours), and the beginning of a migraine making his way through his skull.
