Consequently Vodyanitsa’s head settles into the bridge between Odette’s clavicle and her neck, and she feels the girl’s breath hitch against her skin. It feels so incredibly natural, she thinks, as if her body had been crafted in the womb to have Vodyanitsa’s head rest there.
