Vanilla pierced the air. This time, Jisung could scarcely trace any of its familiar elements. It was too bitter, overpowering in all the worst ways, and Jisung's heart plunged into his stomach. Acid ate away at the organ, but Jisung could still feel it roaring in his ears, his throat.
He gulped, and a mouthful of rancid vanilla coursed through him. Jisung's scent flared in response. A deep inquietude embedded its talons into him, submerging deep enough to rile Jisung's omega. It thrashed inside—a trapped wolf prepared to gnaw through a limb to escape.
Minho. Have to find Minho.

“Y-you can,” Minho started, squeezing Jisung’s hips gently to try and bring him back to the present. Of course, with Jisung’s brain in heat mode, the omega’s eyes fluttered shut and he let out a soft moan, which had both men stiffening. Jisung tried to take a step back, though it made him bump into the island behind him which, in turn, made him gasp. Minho’s eyes snapped up to meet Jisung’s, full of… something Jisung hadn’t seen before. Well, not in Minho’s eyes, anyway. He’d seen it in his own eyes as he stared at himself in the mirror less than 30 minutes ago, and he’d seen it in every heat he had and in others going through their cycles (though that had been more in his younger years). Jisung wasn’t sure he wanted to admit what that something was, his logical mind trying to shove the thought from his brain while his heat mind begged for more.
