    Fengjiu gives up on love after returning from her pursuit of Dong Hua Dijun. Being overlooked throughout 2,000 years as a maid, then treated as no more than a pet fox, has broken her heart, and the hearts of nine-tailed foxes do not mend easily. Embracing her role as queen and relying on her friends and family, Fengjiu restores her dignity and leaves her past obsession with Dijun behind her.

    Yet Destiny, as always, is toying with this seemingly un-Fated pair. There are more threads weaving them together than a broken-hearted, nine-tailed fox could realize.
