  Summary

  Their real lives, the lives they lived every day when they were not hunting fish, the lives of those of them who did not hunt, took place there. Their science, their art, their dances, their families were all out there on the land. There were many, many things that she would never learn about the creatures while she was floating on the surface of the sea.
