Summary
Life is a strategy game for Thomas, always has been. He prides himself on his intellect: the ability to step back, evaluate each detail logically, and make the most rational, thoughtful decision. But there is no intellectualizing what's happening between him and Micro. There's no rational explanation for the feeling in Thomas's gut whenever Micro so much as looks in his direction.
