    Wednesday Addams' first semester at Nevermore concluded with a rather disruptive bang—a monster, an undead Pilgrim wizard, and a garden-variety racist with a nine-millimeter. One would think that following such an ordeal, Wednesday could take some well-earned rest without the world collapsing around her ears.
    Well, someone sane might have thought as much, but no one had ever accused Wednesday of that particular affliction.
    Life is never simple. After Wednesday begins to experience premonitions that Enid Sinclair is in danger, she learns exactly what another person's life can really mean, and exactly how far she is willing to go to protect her.
