For the first time since its rebirth, Requiem was caught off guard. It floated closer to him, its face plate mere centimeters away from brushing the man's nose. It searched for answers in his eyes, and only found sincere cerulean staring back, familiar in a way it couldn't place.
"Could you hug him for me?" He rephrased after a moment of silence. "He looks like he needs one."
Requiem wanted to say, foolish thing, I have been coiled within him since birth, had beared every blister and bruise, shed every tear and felt every tremor. I know what's best for mine. Certainly more than you do.
But instead, it showed restraint. Instead, it was kind.

"Amazing," Jonathan said once more, breathless.
He looked up at the stand's lidless, shell-like eyes. It stared back as unimpressed as ever, moving only to rest its chin on the crown of its user's head.
"Stands have names, right?" Jonathan asked, gaze not straying from where it locked with the stand's.
"Yes. Mine is Gold Experience."
"It's awfully fond of you."
Giorno looked up at Gold Experience with an almost sad expression, unchanging even as Gold stared back.
"I'd hope so," is all he said.
(Aka, the heartfelt father-son reunion that should've happened.)
