“Steve,” Robin says suddenly, “Do you ever wanna just…” she kicks out with her foot, gesturing to the rift beneath them, dislodging a cascade of dirt.
Steve tracks it with his eyes until he can’t anymore, thinks about freefall. “Jump?” he finishes.
“No. Well, yes – but more, like…” Robin waves about with her hands. “You ever wanna just… give everything another go? Like, from the top with feeling, but we do everything right?”
Steve hums in question.
“Like, I think about it all the time – what if I had done this differently, I should have done this instead, what if I’d done that – I, I know you do too, you’re –”
“Robin, I think I have an idea.” Steve cuts in.
