Summary
Shane isn’t answering the door. Ilya assumes that’s because he hasn’t heard the knock on the door. Music is playing through the open door between the bedroom and the hallway. Ilya knows that Shane doesn’t really know music and definitely isn’t particular about it, which means he’s doing this for Ilya.
Ilya wills his feet to move. After a few seconds they do. They feel heavy, like there are weights tied to them, but they bring Ilya to the front door, so he’s not complaining. He opens the door slowly and tries smiling at the man, presumably David Hollander, in front of him.
“Hello,” presumably David Hollander says in a low voice. “I’m looking for Shane.”
In a retelling of 'David finds Shane and Ilya in episode 6,' David arrives a couple of minutes later and as a result doesn't see Shane and Ilya making out. Shane and Ilya get to discuss coming out to Shane's parents on their own terms.

Summary
He still didn't know if this was normal - asking your friends about how good they were at sucking dick. Maybe this was how friendship worked for other people, if you weren't both hockey players, if one of you wasn't married, if your friendship didn't depend so much on knowing as little about each other as possible. If you knew the other person liked sucking dick.
Maybe he just likes it when Rose looks at him like that, awestruck, like he's scored a hattrick. He doesn't know anyone else who would be this impressed by his knowledge of having sex with men, which is unfair, seeing how long he's worked to build it.
Maybe that's why he ends up where he does, one arm extended to stick two fingers in Rose's mouth, her pink lipgloss sticky, smearing around his fingers, three of her fingers pressed as far as they can go into his, both of them drooling and stifling little snorts of laughter.
Rose asks a lot of questions.

Shane didn’t need a reason further than that had they fucked and now it was over—so he should go back to his own room and to sleep so he would be well rested for the All-Star Game tomorrow. It’s been a few minutes since they’d finished. They were not touching anymore, but Shane could feel Rozanov’s body heat and hear his breathing, in and out. Maybe he would kick him out soon anyways, and that would just be embarrassing. So why was Shane still not getting up?
