Summary
Loving ourselves has never been an easy task. How did that famous quote go? "Self-love is a constant battle between who you are and who you want to be." Taehyung was reading this quote from a book, his eyes slowly moving across the words with a sense of defeat.
As he looked down at his hands, they appeared completely normal, just as they did this morning. But when he dared to lift his gaze from the text and look into the reflective surface of the nearby mirror, he had to suppress a scream. Was that really his face staring back at him? It seemed distorted and unfamiliar. It was a purple monster with sharp teeth and wild, unkempt hair instead of his own features. The creature in the mirror seemed to sneer at him, mocking his insecurities and fears.
He blinked rapidly, hoping the monster would vanish like a mirage, but it remained stubbornly present, leering back at him with malevolent eyes. His hands shook as he reached out, half-expecting the monster to lunge out of the mirror towards him.
As his fingers grazed the cool surface of the mirror, Taehyung felt a surge of adrenaline coursing through him. His breath came in short, shallow gasps, an unnoticeable sound compared to the loud shatter of the glass.Series
