Summary
He’s walking home from yet another failed doctor's appointment. The leaves crunch under his feet and it makes him feel worse, almost as if he was the leaves under someone's foot being crunched. Yet another doctor told him that they don’t know why he hasn’t presented, that he should have already if he was going to and that they don't know what’s wrong with him. He feels dejected as he walks back to his dorm, where he knows the others are there waiting for him, waiting for good news.
He doesn’t want to face the disappointment that nothing has changed since the last appointment.
