Summary
Regulus Black was already grappling with many concerns before James Potter became a main character in his story. He has been overwhelmed by the sudden wave of unwanted attention from Sirius and his friends, continues to recieve berating letters from his parents for his every move, and is also simply preoccupied with the sheer excitement of his own life (expressed with sarcasm, in case it was not clear). Regulus had hoped for a calm and quiet holiday where he could enjoy one of the only times he gets a year away from school and the House of Black, but however regretfully he may admit it he finds himself investing most of his time for the next few months in a mystery solving partnership with his brother's closest friend James who has persuaded Regulus that there is a malicious force or individual scheming within the Hogwarts campus.
