Summary
Following the trail of her deceased friend, Adriannu's investigation brings her home to the frozen wastes of northeast Faerûn, where a vampire coven has thrived for centuries on the outskirts of Rashemen. In order to keep the backs of vampire society turned she must enlist the help of the one person she never thought she would see again. But the last anyone's heard of Astarion was three years ago, just before the Crimson Palace went up in flames -- and the Ascendant has motivations of his own.
