Summary
Owen and Khloe are close friends from modern-day Earth who die after being hit by a truck and are reincarnated as newborns in the noble House Watson. Keeping all of their memories, they discover they can communicate through telepathy. An astrologer prophesies that Owen will become the mind of the empire and Khloe its shield, and that together they will either save or destroy the empire. As they grow up, Owen becomes a brilliant noble known for his intelligence, while Khloe trains to become a powerful knight devoted to protecting him. Their lives change when they are summoned to the imperial capital, where they meet Prince Arthur and Princess Olivia Vaughan of the rival empire. During a royal banquet, a noble dies after drinking poisoned wine. Owen quickly realizes the poison was actually meant for the emperor, pulling him and Khloe into a dangerous political conspiracy that threatens the future of both empires.
