Summary
Five years of war leave the land drowned in blood. The Sheng dynasty has fallen, a new emperor sits on the throne, and the broken remnants of Xianle await their fate.
Among them is the former Crown Prince, Xie Lian—once beloved, now a prisoner awaiting judgment.
When rewards are offered for his role in ending the war, General Hua Cheng asks for only one thing: to marry the fallen prince.
The court believes it must be cruelty, humiliation, or some elaborate punishment. No one understands why he would want a disgraced prince with nothing left to give.
Least of all Xie Lian himself.
