Summary
Yeonjun's only now realizing he's been mixing up his priorities; he needs to do things right, and he also needs a break. The constant grayness clouding the city's been fogging his mind as well, and he feels like his lungs haven’t caught a breath of fresh air for too long.
With a last hug to Taehyun and Beomgyu and some ‘you better call at least every week’ exchanged, Eunjoo buckles up, and they start on the long way leading to Yeonjun's parents' place, back to his hometown.
Or,
When it gets too hard, Yeonjun decides to move back to the town of his childhood. While he struggles to connect with his daughter, he doesn't expect to find a familiar man there, who seems to do just that so easily. He doesn't sound exactly thrilled by Yeonjun's return, though.

"Tyun, Taehyunie," Beomgyu says, hanging to the last thread of his patience. "I thought you were supposed to be the smart one. Why is it so hard to understand for you." Taehyun gasps a little, taking offense. “We. Are. Not. Dating,” he repeats slowly, just to be sure.
"Well, it's not like I have no reason to think so!" he defends. "Just- Just last week Soobin-hyung was, again, declaring how you're his favorite member in live!"
Beomgyu scoffs. "I better be, with the blowjob I gave him that same morning," he grumbles.
Taehyun leans back on his chair slowly, closes his eyes, pinches the bridge of his nose."TMI," he says, trying to remain calm. "Way, way TMI."

Alright, so… There is a… situation, in the dorms.
Beomgyu's kind of upset with him.
Now, Soobin's never been discreet about his wish for getting his own room. And really, maybe he should have been more aware, more careful. Beomgyu had always acted playfully offended about it, and Soobin was guilty of having bought into the act. He should have known better.

When they move to their new dorm, Soobin is ecstatic to finally get his own room. That is, until he realizes he probably left his ability to sleep properly in the room he used to share with Beomgyu.

"You're like a puppy."
Soobin glances up from where he's snuggling against Yeonjun's middle.
"What kind of puppy am I, then?" he wonders, turning to settle onto his back, still splayed over Yeonjun's lap. He looks up at Yeonjun with keen eyes.
Yeonjun thinks about it. "Hum… fluffy, clingy… oversized," he says. "A puppy who doesn't realize how big he is," he laughs, pinching at Soobin's cheek.
Soobin reddens, like he only now realizes their disposition - how he's sprawled all over the couch and half over Yeonjun. "Sorry," he mumbles, and starts to straighten up, but Yeonjun keeps him in place.
"It's fine," he reassures, pushing his shoulder down again. Soobin hesitates, but settles back, still shooting an unsure glance at him. Yeonjun smiles down at him, hand coming to knead his earlobe in what he hopes is a relaxing gesture. "Good boy."

And then, Beomgyu thinks about it, for real. He sits up abruptly, and Soobin finally diverts his gaze from the tv, eyeing him questioningly.
"That's it!" he beams, and Soobin recoils a bit, worried looking as he pushes another spoonful of ice cream into his mouth - like Beomgyu had a habit of having bad ideas or something. Beomgyu points at him with flourish. "You're gonna go home with me, and we'll pretend you're my boyfriend!"
Or,
Beomgyu's family is expecting him to come home accompanied for the holidays this year, but Beomgyu doesn't exactly have anyone to bring. It only seems right to drag Soobin along, right?

As expected, Yeonjun molds into his family like he’s always been part of it. He helps with the cooking, participates in the traditional cookie decoration, talks with Soobin’s sister while balancing his young nephew on his lap.
Soobin catches himself staring. Easy, easy, he scolds himself.
When he turns back to his mother to ask for more eggs for the dough, he finds her looking at him, a knowing smile on her face. Soobin coughs, embarrassed.
“Have you thought of getting mated?” she asks, busying herself with the dishwasher.
Soobin chokes.
He has, of course he has.

"A webcomic artist?"
Yeonjun tilts an eyebrow, stopping his dishwashing to look at his mother who’s observing him from the table. He should have expected it. For her to show up at his place unannounced with his favourite dishes- she had to have something to ask.
“Yes,” she confirms, circling the spoon into her teacup absentmindedly. “My friend’s son. She says his back is getting worse and she’s worried. But he insists he doesn’t have time to get it treated, it’s expensive, yada yada. That’s why she thought of you,” she says, and as Yeonjun’s about to reply, she adds, “Of course, I said you’d be glad to help.”
Yeonjun sighs. “Of course you did."

Yeonjun finds himself getting attached to his client, a webcomic artist with a bad back but very nice hands.
