“And would Chuuya do that to his poor, unsuspecting husband?” Dazai bats his eyelashes, an exaggerated pout on his lips. With his back to him, Dazai knows Chuuya will guess at his annoying antics and—there it is, huffing as if such a thing could translate to a fervent desire to end Dazai’s life; bones and all, dust to dust. He’s cute like that; proficient and skilled even in the arts of deceit, but never with Dazai. Slowly, he lowers his chin to the juncture of Chuuya’s shoulder, staring down at his impeccable handwriting. Lips to the shell of his ear, Dazai murmurs, “plus, I come bearing an offer.”

Chuuya knits his eyebrows together, wondering if he should run out of the room and let Ane-san know that she set him up with a fuckin’ psycho.
“I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if you die,” Chuuya says.
