Two hours later, when Frenchie gets back, M.M. would deck him if it wouldn’t blow their cover. He ducks close to hiss over the bass flooding the walls and shivering under his boots. “Where the hell were you?”
M.M. could dream up plenty of possible answers if he had to. None would have been Frenchie taking his face between his hands and locking their lips.

Summary
“Asked me if I was the Chinese food delivery guy on my first day.” Chim contributed in a whisper, like he was afraid Buck might wake up and hear. Maybe he felt disloyal admitting it now. It was no secret to anyone paying attention how much Chim loved Buck, even if he often pretended to be exasperated with him.
Hen nodded solemnly. “One of the many people who wouldn’t even acknowledge me when I started.”
It was news to Eddie, and apparently Ravi too, but not Cap, who resolutely stared down at the table in front of him, shaking his head.
“Oh, so he fucking sucks.” Ravi contributed casually, never one to pull punches with his thoughts.
No one responded, but the agreement was in the air.

Eddie starts gathering information about why no one trusts Tommy. As he grows to hate their relationship more, he learns more about himself and what he wants.

Summary
Buck wears his heart on his sleeve, and his heart is full of Maddie. He can't help but carry her with him, telling his new family about his awesome older sister, who was stronger, faster, cooler than anyone he'd ever known. It's nice, knowing that she's been carried to LA with him, that the people he loves know about her, and it helps him be a better fire fighter when he stops to consider 'what would Maddie do'. He wishes he could share this life he'd built with her, but since he can't, it's like she's still taking care of him.
When Maddie Buckley, trembling from the hits she hasn't quite registered have stopped coming, stumbles her way into the 118 Firehouse, she's mildly confused as to why everyone seems to be expecting a ten foot amazon who can breathe fire and control animals.
(In which Evan 'Buck' Buckley, missing his sister, accidentally turns her into a cryptid. Still, Maddie Buckley is perhaps even more remarkable than the stories.)
