Summary
“Let's run away,” Boris said one night sitting on the curb outside his house, under the amber streetlamp.
“Sure,” I said, immediately. During those days, he could have asked me anything and I would've done it blind and deaf, with my hands tied behind my back. “Where to?”
The crickets filled the silence as Boris considered. It was a balmy summer night, pleasantly warm.
“Does it matter?” He said.
Or: Boris moves into town on the summer Theo turns fourteen.

Summary
“I’d argue that this situation is quite different. I am a fugitive,” Evey's voice trembles a little on the word, “and I'm on the run now. Just like you.”
“You could rat me out for personal gain.”
“I saved your life!”
In the cold silence that follows, Evey suddenly notices that V is breathing shallowly. Quick, shallow inhales, breathy and crackly.
“I am done with this conversation.” V spits out, and sweeps out of the kitchen, leaving Evey standing by the table as she tries to process what happened and what she had said up until that point to make him react like that.
How could they work together if they didn't trust one another? And what, for god's sake, was so important about that damn mask?

Four times something didn't add up about the man in the mask, and one time it all came together.
