There’s a soft hand on his cheek, and suddenly, he’s staring down into Hinata’s eyes; he thinks his eyes are brighter than the sun, and they're the prettiest shade of golden brown (he’s not even sure that’s a color). Have his eyes always been this lovely? Their faces are close enough that if Kageyama leaned down just a little bit more, he’d be able to kiss him. The idea of kissing the son of Apollo sounds so appealing to him, and he might be imagining it, but is Hinata staring at his lips?

It’s four in the morning when Kageyama’s phone goes off. He doesn’t have to look at the name to know who’s calling; he calls at around this time twice a month, and as always, Kageyama picks up. He knows he shouldn’t—he’s seeing someone and even if it’s not official yet, he needs to stop this and let go.
But when he opens his eyes and sees his and Hinata’s smiling faces staring back at him on his phone, his fingers ignore all the warning bells going off in his head and press the green button.

Truly, Mydei loved to test his patience. Phainon thought himself magnanimous enough to have kept his cool so far, considering the fact that the scents emanating from Mydei's vicinity revealed that he was not only injured, but was also in pre-heat.

Surrounded by a flock of alphas who Phainon knew would not spare a thought for him, and would be all too happy to service Mydei in his heat, were the omega so inclined.
Phainon has done much to overcome his humble beginnings, rising to rule the underworld all so he could have Mydei, heir to one of the longest-running and most prominent gangs, as his exclusive omega. In exchange, he doesn't destroy Castrum Kremnos, and even keeps their relationship behind closed doors to allow Mydei some dignity.
It's just too bad that Mydei keeps testing him. And tonight, Phainon's patience has completely run out.

The man’s body is absurd, and his skill. God... The sight burns behind his eyelids, blood already flowing south with alarming efficiency.
His hair, blond and dyed red at the tips is tied back in a messy ponytail, loose strands plastered to the sweaty skin of his neck. He wears a black button-up that is open three buttons too far, showing his very generous and absurdly big pectorals, and don’t get him started on the red tattoos. His jeans look painted on the upper half, then flaring from the knee down.
That's the hottest cowboy Phainon has ever seen.
Or; Phainon sees a hot cowboy riding a mechanical bull in a bar, and maybe not only a mechanical bull.
